Davido Announces Nigerian Leg of '5IVE Alive Tour,' Promising Cultural Homecoming

Nigerian superstar Davido brings his globally successful 5IVE Alive Tour home after selling out North American arenas. The homecoming concerts span five Nigerian cities from October to December, promising to celebrate Afrobeats culture while boosting domestic entertainment and tourism.

Afrobeats superstar Davido has announced the Nigerian leg of his “5IVE Alive Tour,” marking a highly anticipated homecoming after a sold-out North American arena run that captivated fans across 14 cities from July to November.

The Grammy-nominated artist shared the news on social media, expressing pride in bringing his global show back to its roots. “I’m blessed to perform all around the world, and everywhere I go, Nigeria goes with me. But this time... I’m bringing it HOME,” he wrote, promising an experience “for the culture” and “for us.”

The tour begins on October 26 in Uyo and travels through Yola, Enugu, and Ibadan, concluding with a finale on Christmas Day in Lagos. Tickets start at ₦5,000, with strong early demand already reported.

Fans online have flooded platforms like Instagram and X with excitement, calling the announcement “the homecoming we’ve been waiting for.” Industry observers describe it as a symbolic return that reinforces Nigeria’s central role in the global Afrobeats movement.

Following the success of his fifth studio album 5IVE, which blends Afrobeats, R&B, reggaeton, and dancehall with collaborations from artists like Musa Keys, Becky G, and Omah Lay. Davido’s tour continues to expand the genre’s influence.

His North American shows sold out major arenas, including Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena and Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

As part of his homecoming, Davido is expected to celebrate the vibrancy of each city while closing 2025 with what many expect to be one of Nigeria’s biggest cultural events of the year.
